Cowlinge, Branches Park, front
The house was set in 200 acres, landscaped by Capability Brown, and owned by the Simpson family for three generations from 1845 to 1902. The building was later considerably enlarged in the early 20th century by Gilbert Tonge and was eventually demolished in 1957. The stable block survived and was converted into a dwelling.
