Bradfield St George, church and rectory, with figures
The name of the church of St George is about 600 years old. The churchyard is partly surrounded by water, which may be the remains of a moat. It is said that from the tower can be seen 16 churches. Near the pulpit are the remains of an hour glass to time the sermon.
Bradfield St George, Rectory
The Rectory has survived although it has been enlarged and the mock battlements removed. It is now known as the Old Rectory. Bradfield St George entertained Queen Elizabeth 1 when she visited the Jermyn family at Bradfield Manor.
